Greetings!  My name is Tara Eaves and I am excited to be teaching 6th grade at UCA again this year! I have been teaching for over 20 years. I received my bachelor's degree in Sociology and had planned on being a social worker, but like most college students I changed my major and began my master's degree in counseling. Since my goal was to be a school counselor, my professor suggested that I gain experience in the school system. I started substitute teaching in 1997 and the rest is history. I fell in love with teaching and once again changed my focus and became a credentialed teacher. I have taught most grades from preschool - 7th grade. I found my niche and have never looked back!

While I love teaching, my favorite job of all has been being the mom of five daughters who have blessed me with six grandchildren! My girls were all rodeo girls and competed in youth rodeo and high school rodeo. We have traveled too many miles to count hauling horses behind our truck and rarely had a weekend at home, but I would not trade it for anything!
